Established in 2002, the first Promax Electrodes were manufactured and appeared on the South African Market.
Promax Welding is located in Johannesburg, South Africa with sales offices in Durban, Port Elizabeth and Cape Town as well as an extensive network of distributors throughout the entire region extending into neighbouring African countries.
Our newly upgraded manufacturing plant situated in Ladysmith Natal consisting of 5 electrode production lines, cutting and wire drawing machines has the capacity of manufacturing 350 tons of electrodes per month.
The electrode range includes our popular E6013 Mild Steel range with the S.A.B.S. mark on it, E7018-1 Low Hydrogen, E7024 Iron Powder, Stainless Steel, Cast Iron, Gouging and Hard facing electrodes.
Today the company also imports a comprehensive range of quality welding and cutting products.

Since its humble beginnings in a small factory in East Rand Promax has grown into a major national distributor striving to supply quality products and excellent service to all our valued customers.
