Investmech (Pty) Ltd is a small to medium company formed in April 1998 in Pretoria, by six people, Proff. Anton Raath Pr.Eng., Michiel Heyns Pr.Eng, Wikus van Niekerk Pr.Eng. and Messrs. Corro van Waveren Pr.Eng, Herman Booysen and Johann Wannenburg Pr.Eng. All the partners were lecturers and employees at the University of Pretoria at that time. The company was dormant until 2001 when the Investmech directors did a management buy-out of the previously known LGI Structural Mechanics and Dynamics Group. Through this management buy-out Investmech realised more than 20 cumulative years experience in Mechanical Engineering, testing and other related fields.

Investmech has since expanded and now boasts four distinct strategic business units, namely Investmech Testing Services (ITS), Investmech Consulting Engineering (ICE), Investmech Business Consulting (IBC) and Investmech Products. ISO 9001:2000 certified, Investmech networks with various institutions, companies and experts in various market fields that enable the company to deliver products and services of exceptional quality and standard.
