The Yukon Group was founded in 1991 and has since become fully vertically integrated. The majority of our specialty vegetables production is done in house at Yukon Farms.

In addition to Yukon's South African range, Yukon has partnerships with top producers in other African countries to complement its own production and offers a truly African range of specialised vegetables in our "Out of Afrika" brand. Yukon International Pty Ltd, the export arm, orchestrates all the complex logistics surrounding the consolidation distribution of our Southern African baby vegetable offering around the world. Yukon Fresh Produce Europe coordinates sales in the UK and on the European continent.

Our range of fresh baby vegetables are consolidated and shipped daily around the globe from our depot at Oliver Tambo International Airport - Johannesburg, as well as from Cape Town Airport. This ensures freshness, continuous quality monitoring and an opportunity to do mixed loads to smaller customers around the world as well as 'just in time' labelling for our retail customers.

Yukon Farms
The majority of the baby vegetables that are exported are grown by Yukon Farms, outside Bothaville, in the Free State Province. The sandy loam soil, warm dry climate and a constant supply of river water are ideal for the production of excellent quality vegetables, all year round.

Yukon Farm is 356 hectares in size and about 510 hectares of baby vegetables are planted every year on a rotational basis.

Our goal is to produce a high quality, high volume product for twelve months of the year to complete customer satisfaction.

Accreditations
Yukon Farms are GlobalGap, Tesco Nature's Choice, Woolworths (IBL) and Farming for the Future and LEAF accredited. We are also registered on the SEDEX database as a B member.

Yukon Farms recently acquired For Life social responsibility accreditation. This is a significant achievement, as it is the first vegetable farm in South Africa to be For Life accredited.

Yukon Fresh Produce (Europe) - YFPE
Yukon International's European marketing office is based in the UK – Yukon Fresh Produce (Europe) Ltd. Here we complete the link between customer and grower and focus on extending our product offering by developing new sources of supply.

The aim of YFPE is to provide the link between growers and customers, ensuring a ‘hands on’ approach to the areas of procurement, planning and forecasting. Logistical efficiency and accuracy, customer service and product development are of our top priorities. Management has over 25 years of experience in senior positions within the fresh produce industry, including procurement, operational, technical & quality assurance, sales and general management.
